Meet the New Dallas High!

Introducing Dexter's Docket, a newsletter written to keep students and parents informed on the latest Dallas High news and events!
Welcome back to DHS! We know this 2020-2021 school year has not been easy. In fact, it's been very challenging for all of us. To start this newsletter, we wanted to give you all a HUGE "thank you!" for being patient and taking the time to adjust to Distance-Learning with us. We know the transition was not easy, but we are so extremely proud of the way our staff, students, and parents have all rallied together to make education possible during an unprecedented time. We see the efforts you each have made and are so thankful to be a part of this community. We will continue to update you all as metrics change and what protocols may be in the future, but for now- thank you for actively participating in online classes and events.
NOVEMBER 2020 NEWSLETTER:
The Promise
To start this newsletter, we want to rewind back to a more familiar time. Last spring we had the privilege of working with Mountain West Investment Corporation to create a 16 minute short film and take a deeper dive into the simple solution that changed everything for our high school. Learn what seeing “people as people” really means and how it can be applied in our homes, schools,
work and communities.”
We'd like to thank all staff and students involved in not only the creation of the film, but also every individual student, parent, staff member, and community members that have grown with us over the years and helped us be and do better.
How to Pair a Canvas Parent Observer to Student
We will be making a Dallas specific version of this pairing video in the near future, but for parents looking to check-in on their students grades, here is a thorough walk through made by another school district.
Free Lunch Program
has been EXTENDED for all children ages 1-18 until June 30th of 2021!
